David Hurst

David Hurst has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they worked as a Data Management Technician for Labat-Anderson Incorporated. In 2008, they moved on to become a Network Administrator for DownEast Outfitters, Inc., where they researched and built from the ground up single sign on capability for multiple services. In 2011, they worked as a Research Assistant for Scientific Computing & Imaging Institute. In 2012, they worked as a Hardware Engineer for Fusion-io, and as a Programmer/Audio Engineer/CFO for Team Tripleslash. In 2014, they worked as an ASIC Design Engineer II for SanDisk. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer for Teem. In 2017, they moved on to become a Sr Principal Software Architect, Technical Director, Engineering, Backend Guild Lead, and Sr Software Engineer for SimpleNexus. In 2021, they became the CTO and Co-founder of Giddy.

David Hurst attended Bowie High School from 2001 to 2005. David then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Utah, which they completed in 2014.
