Ajith Ramachandran

Ajith Ramachandran is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry. Currently serving as Senior Manager Compliance & AML at GIG Gulf since May 2013, Ajith manages compliance functions across the Gulf Region with expertise in compliance risk assessments, AML procedures, and regulatory reporting. Prior experience includes Head of Finance at Boubyan Takaful Insurance Co., where Ajith oversaw the finance department and established internal controls, and Senior Manager - Group Accounts at AXA Insurance (Gulf), focused on account consolidation and analytical reporting. Ajith's career began as Assistant Manager - Commercial & System Audit at Business Machines Tanzania Limited, following a role as a Chartered Accountant at Kumar Sankar & Kumar. Educational qualifications include an International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association, UK, and a fellowship from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
