Cory Landrum

VP, Business Development at GigaTECH

Cory Landrum started his career in the Banking and Finance industry over 20 years ago. Starting off in a not-for-profit industry after college to build affordable housing in East Texas, Cory learned the ropes of mortgage banking and finance sectors. His team worked with the Federal Home Loan Banks of Dallas and Chicago to build neighborhoods, apartment complexes, and single-family homes for low-moderate income families.

Afterwards, he left to continue his career in banking and finance in Dallas, TX until 2007. Throughout his time in banking and finance, Mr. Landrum became involved in a commercial construction company finance team with projects at Universities around the State of Texas. Finding an opportunity to write proposals, Cory worked to help win some of the largest contracts in the company. In these times Cory honed his grant writing, proposal writing, and proposal pricing skills.

Cory moved to Washington D.C. in 2010 to run pricing department for Systems Made Simple. Throughout his tenure at Systems Made Simple, Cory led a pricing team on over $1.7 Billion in Task Orders on the T4 Contract vehicle from 2011-2016. Outside of the VA’s T4 environment, the Systems Made Simple team won other contracts exceeding $700 Million. The success of the Systems Made Simple team eventually led to it’s purchase by Lockheed Martin.

During his time at Systems Made Simple, Cory and his partners founded MarLand Technologies in 2012 (now known as GigaTECH) as a startup. As a founding partner, Cory was directly involved in all aspects of the company while focusing on pricing, finance, human resources, and operations. Cory has helped build GigaTECH into a team-oriented workplace that fosters employee growth and rewards individual contributions.

Cory has a Bachelors and Masters of Public Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University. Cory lives with his wife, Roya, in the DC Metro area.
