Dan Shochat

Dan Shochat is a Strategic Advisor at GigCapital. Dan has over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Dan has held various leadership positions in Research and Development, including Vice President and Head of Non-Clinical Development at KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from January 2004 to January 2013, and Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer at Celscia Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from March 2003 to January 2004. Prior to Celscia, they were at Deltagen, Inc. as Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development from January 2001 to December 2002. Dan also has experience as a consultant, serving as Director of the R&D Group at Immunomedics Inc. from January 1984 to December 1988, and as an Associate Member at the Center of Molecular Medicine & Immunology from January 1982 to December 1983.

Dan Shochat has a PhD in Biochemistry from LSU Medical Center, a BSc in Zoology and Physiology from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an MSc in Physiology/Biochemistry from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
