Karen Rogge is a strategic advisor at GigCapital and a former board director of various companies. Karen was also the president and owner of RYN GROUP, LLC, and the chief financial officer and senior vice president at Extreme Networks.
Born in 1965, Karen Rogge graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in accounting. After working as an accountant for a few years, they decided to pursue a career in finance and earned their MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 1990.
Karen began their finance career at Arthur Andersen, where they worked for seven years before moving to KPMG in 1997. At KPMG, they worked in the Corporate Finance Group for three years before being promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2000. In 2004, they left KPMG to join Extreme Networks as their Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President.
During their time at Extreme Networks, Karen was instrumental in helping the company grow from $250 million to over $1 billion in annual revenue. In 2007, they led the company through its successful initial public offering.
After leaving Extreme Networks in 2009, Karen founded RYN GROUP, LLC, a consulting firm that provided financial and operational advice to early-stage companies. In 2013, they joined the board of directors of several companies, including AppliedMicro and KEMET Electronics Corporation.
In 2015, Karen became the Interim Chief Financial Officer and VP Finance of AppliedMicro. Karen helped the company navigate through a challenging period and successfully sold the company to MACOM in 2016 for $500 million.

Karen Rogge has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Accounting from California State University, Fresno. Karen also has certification from the NACD (National Association of Corporate Directors) as a NACD Board Leadership Fellow and certification from Stanford Law School as a Stanford Directors College member.
