Cheruiyot Collins has worked in the software development industry since 2016. In that time, they have held three positions. From 2016 to 2018, they worked as a Software Developer at OPTIMUM COMPUTER SYSTEMS, INC. Cheruiyot'sduties included participating in all phases of the software development life cycle, customizing systems to fit customer needs, and recommending changes to improve and add functionality to applications. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as an Application Developer at KCB Bank Group. Cheruiyot'sduties included systems integration between various bank systems and third parties, reviewing project specifications, and writing maintainable code for software systems. Currently, they are a Senior Java Backend Developer at Gigster. Cheruiyot'sduties include participating in system designs, coordinating with project managers and other engineers, writing highly maintainable code, and participating in code reviews.

Cheruiyot Collins holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Computer Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where they studied Computer Science from 2012 to 2015. In 2018, they enrolled in the Google Africa Scholarship program at Udacity to study Android Development. In 2021, they obtained certifications in Learning Spring with Spring Boot and MySQL Essential Training from LinkedIn. Additionally, they obtained a Google Scholarship Program (Android Developement) certification from Udacity in 2018.
