Pinithi Perera

Pinithi Perera has a diverse work experience, starting with their current position as a Commercial Legal Counsel at Giift. In this role, they consult and leads all corporate legal processes such as mergers, compliance issues, transactions, partnerships, and lawsuits. Pinithi is responsible for managing all legal operations and procedures, as well as reviewing and monitoring legislation that impacts the company's products and processes.

Prior to their current role, Pinithi had a legal internship at Giift and served as a Paralegal at IMDA. Pinithi also worked as an Administrative Assistant at KFC (SG) Pte Ltd and interTouch. Pinithi gained valuable experience as a Legal Assistant at MSC Law Corporation and in various roles at the University of Birmingham, including Worklink - Casual Catering Work and Welcome Assistant.

Pinithi also had an administrative assistant role at IMDA and Singtel, where they were involved in tasks such as creating service orders, stock taking, and general department upkeep. Pinithi worked as a Brand Representative at RateMyPlacement and had a significant tenure at the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore, where they served as a Paralegal. In this position, Pinithi vetted contractual documents, drafted legal documents, and assisted legal counsels with legal advice and trial preparation. Pinithi'swork experience spans across both legal and administrative roles, showcasing their versatility and adaptability.

Pinithi Perera completed their education in a chronological order. Pinithi attended St. Anthony's Canossian Secondary School from 2007 to 2011 and obtained their GCSE degree in O levels. In 2012, they enrolled in Temasek Polytechnic and completed their Diploma in Law & Management from 2012 to 2015. Pinithi pursued further studies at the University of Birmingham from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with a focus on Law.

In addition to their formal education, Pinithi obtained several additional certifications. In November 2016, they successfully passed the Basic & Advanced Lexis Library Online Research Certification Test conducted by LexisNexis. In September 2016, they completed BPC & PTC Training at the Attorney General's Office. Furthermore, in February 2023, Pinithi obtained two certifications: Anti Bribery from The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS), also from The CISI.
