Dr. Joel Koffi

Dr. Joel Koffi is a Research & Development Engineer at GIKEN LTD. since July 2023, focusing on innovative engineering solutions. Prior to this role, Dr. Koffi served as an Associate Researcher at Hokkaido University from April 2020 to March 2023, where research centered on developing a self-powered bioelectrochemical-based wastewater treatment process that emphasized sustainability and low emissions. From October 2012 to March 2015, Dr. Koffi worked as a Hydraulics Engineer at Terrabo-Engineer Office, overseeing the design and sizing of critical water infrastructure projects. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Hokkaido University, a Master of Science in Water and Environmental Engineering from Institut International d'Ingénierie de l'Eau et de l'Environnement, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the same institution.
