Lourdes D. Heras

Lourdes D. Heras, MPH, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Diabetes, Endocrinology & Wellness at Gila River Health Care, a position held since July 2023. Since June 2022, Lourdes has also been the Co-Founder and Director of Community Engagement for Después de un Diagnóstico at Surviving Breast Cancer, focusing on planning, developing, and implementing Spanish services and outreach efforts in Arizona. Lourdes has extensive experience at Gila River Health Care, having held the roles of Program Manager for the Life Center from October 2017 to July 2023 and Program Manager for the Diabetes Care Program from February 2012 to September 2017. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Public Health from California State University, Fresno, and a Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration and Health Care Education/Promotion from California State University-Sacramento.
