Alex Volodarsky

Director, SOTM Antenna Programs, R&d at Gilat Satellite Networks

Alex Volodarsky has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Alex started their career in the Israel Air Force, where they held various positions related to airborne intelligence systems and air defense. In 1999, they joined Gilat Satellite Networks as a Project Manager and later took on the role of R&D Product Manager and System Engineer. Alex managed major R&D releases and coordinated development efforts across different centers. In 2004, they became a Project Manager and System Engineer for a special project with Cisco USA. Alex then joined Elbit Systems Ltd in 2009, where they served as Director of Marketing & BD for C4I & HLS Systems, and later as Director of Marketing & BD for Russia & CIS in the SatCom BU. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at RADA Electronic Industries Ltd as the Director of Business Development and also in Business Development and Program Management for Radar Systems. Most recently, they returned to Gilat Satellite Networks in 2019 as a Senior Program Manager and Director, overseeing SOTM Antenna Programs in the R&D department.

Alex Volodarsky completed a B.SC. in Electrical Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1988. Alex then pursued an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering & Management at Tel Aviv University from 1996 to 1998. Prior to their university education, they attended Handesayim High School in Tel Aviv from 1980 to 1984.
