Carine Smet

Carine Smet is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical industry with extensive experience in oncology and hematology. Currently serving as a Senior Therapeutic Specialist in Oncology at Gilead Sciences since October 2023, Carine previously held various roles at Pfizer from February 2002 to June 2023, including Health Solution Partner in Hematology, where responsibilities included understanding patient needs and leading projects for patient testimonials. Prior experience includes a project management role at Novartis Belux from 2011 to 2019, focusing on oncology and hypertension, as well as managing market access for rare diseases. Carine began her career as a lecturer at AP Hogeschool Antwerpen, teaching French and supervising internships. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Economics and Marketing from KU Leuven and a Master's degree in Romaanse Filologie from the University of Antwerp.
