John Heffernan

John Heffernan, PhD, is a Principal Scientist in Formulation and Process Development at Gilead Sciences, with prior experience as a Senior Research Scientist in the same field. Previously, John served as a Scientist in Materials Science at Bristol Myers Squibb, contributing as a subject matter expert in a GMP manufacturing facility focused on drug product development. John has a strong background in pharmaceutical product development, having managed pre-clinical projects at Sonoran Biosciences, and has conducted graduate research at Barrow Neurological Institute on glioblastoma. John holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Arizona State University, as well as multiple degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University and The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
