Ken Shitamoto

Ken Shitamoto, MS, currently serves as Executive Director of IT Quality and Compliance at Gilead Sciences, where leadership includes overseeing IT Quality Engineering and managing a team of over 150 FTE and contractors across multiple countries. With a strong track record in project delivery and cost-saving initiatives, Ken has successfully transitioned operational models, realizing significant savings while maintaining high standards of quality without critical production issues. In addition to the role at Gilead, Ken contributes as a Cloud Compliance Advisory Board Member for USDM Life Sciences, a steering committee member for ISPE GAMP America, and co-leads the Computer Software Assurance Special Interest Group. Educational credentials include a BA in Molecular Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MS in Computer Science from San Jose State University.
