Nan Chen

Nan Chen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of clinical trial design and computational science. Currently serving as a Director at Gilead Sciences since June 2020, Nan Chen has focused on adaptive clinical trial design and statistical methodology development. Prior roles include Associate Director at the same company and a decade-long position as a Computational Scientist at MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializing in Bayesian statistics and high-performance computing. Earlier career highlights include roles as a Research Associate at the University of Notre Dame, a Postdoctoral Fellow at Colorado School of Mines and the Max Planck Institute for Iron Research, with research encompassing numerical computing, Monte Carlo simulations, and computer modeling for material science. Nan Chen holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
