Sabeen Mekan

Sabeen Mekan is an experienced executive in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, currently serving as Executive Director, Global Development Lead for the Lung/GI Franchise at Gilead Sciences since April 2021. Prior roles include Senior Medical Director in Oncology R&D at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. from April 2019 to April 2021, and Medical Director for Oncology Clinical Development at Bristol-Myers Squibb from July 2016 to April 2019. Sabeen Mekan also held the position of Medical Director at PAREXEL International from January 2015 to July 2016 and served as Assistant Professor/Attending Physician at North Shore LIJ Health System from September 2010 to January 2015. Educationally, Sabeen Mekan completed a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at North Shore LIJ (now Northwell Health) and obtained a degree from Aga Khan University, with further studies at the University of Cincinnati.
