Vanessa Johnson

Vanessa Johnson is an accomplished leader in the pharmaceutical and medical field, currently serving as the Head of Global Medical Excellence at Gilead Sciences since January 2022. Previously, Vanessa held multiple senior roles at Bayer Pharmaceuticals from January 2004 to January 2022, including Senior Director of Global MSL Excellence and Deputy Director of Brand Marketing in Neurology. Vanessa's extensive experience also includes leadership roles focused on medical science liaisons in both neurology and cardiopulmonary therapeutic areas, as well as a background in medical communications and sales. Vanessa began a career in research at Boystown National Research Hospital and has educational credentials that include a Master of Science in Biology and a Certificate in Executive Leadership from the University of Notre Dame.
