Rick Wilson

Rick Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Rick is currently working as a Product Manager at Gimmal since May 2021. In this role, they manage the product roadmap for Gimmal Discover and collaborates with various teams to enhance the product and promote it to business partners.

Before joining Gimmal, Rick served as the VP Strategy & Solutions at Sherpa Software for over 13 years, starting from February 2008. Rick played a crucial role in designing and launching Sherpa's SAAS product, Altitude, which focuses on risk remediation, retention management, and eDiscovery. Altitude has been successfully transitioned from traditional on-premises software to a cloud-based delivery model, generating significant recurring subscription revenues.

Prior to Sherpa Software, Rick worked at Tachyon Solutions as a Technical Account Manager from March 2004 to February 2008. In this position, they combined sales account executive responsibilities with project management oversight, providing technical pre-sales support and conducting sales activities.

Rick also has experience as an Account Manager at Stargate from 2000 to 2003, at CISCORP from 1996 to 2000, as well as a Technical Support Manager at Aptech Computer Systems from 1986 to 1993. Rick began their career as a Territory Manager at Burroughs Corporation in 1980.

Rick Wilson attended Geneva College from 1978 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration. In addition to their college education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2014, they became an Information Governance Practitioner through AIIM International. In 2019, they obtained the ARMA Information Specialist (INFO) certification from ARMA International. Most recently, in November 2021, they obtained PMC Level 1 certification from Pragmatic Institute.
