Andy Gilliland has a long history of working in the design industry. Andy began their career in 2002 as an intern at Photonics Graphics. In 2004, they interned at Resource Interactive, working in web design and production. From 2005-2006, they completed three internships at frog design, working in the Digital Media Design department on websites, applications, interactive prototypes, and animations. In 2006, they were hired as a Visual Designer at frog design, where they focused on user interface design and motion design. In 2008, they moved to odopod as a Visual/Motion Designer. From 2009-2015, they worked at Punchcut, starting as a Senior Designer, then Associate Design Director, and finally Director of Visual Design. In 2015, they founded Black Sands Brewery, where they created the entire brewery concept and experience, including the brand concept and design, products, employee handbook, menus, and interior design and construction. In 2016, they co-founded Gimme Radio, an audio and video streaming platform for niche fan groups of underserved music genres. Finally, in 2017, they co-founded LoneUX, a user experience design studio.
Andy Gilliland attended the University of Cincinnati from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a degree in Digital Design. Their field of study included visual design, interactive design, motion design, graphic design, and UX.
