Laura De Winter

Laura De Winter joined Gimv in May 2020 as legal counsel. Prior to joining Gimv on a permanent basis, she was seconded to the firm for a period of six months.

Laura worked as a lawyer from October 2012 until April 2020. As from March 2014, she was a lawyer in the corporate & finance group of Linklaters. She was promoted to Managing Associate in May 2018 and advised national and international clients on a large variety of corporate and business law related matters. Prior to joining Linklaters, she worked as an Associate with Clifford Chance. Laura has extensive experience in M&A, joint ventures, carve-outs, private equity and corporate restructurings, with particular expertise in fintech related matters. Her wider areas of expertise include banking and finance law and corporate and commercial litigation.

Laura holds a Master of Laws from the University of Antwerp (2011) and an LL.M in Corporation and Business Law from the New York University School of Law (NYU 2012).
