Chris Mellen

Chris Mellen, CISSP, serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., where responsibilities include developing a long-term Information Security strategy and implementing an Information Security Program in alignment with growth objectives. Mellen is also a member of the Board of Directors for the St Joseph Veterans Association. Previous roles include Director of IT Risk and Assurance Services at Marcum LLP, Director of Technology Advisory Services at BDO, and Senior Vice President of Information Security Strategy and Initiatives at PNC. Chris Mellen has extensive experience overseeing information security operations, managing compliance audits, and providing consulting services across various sectors, including healthcare and federal government. Mellen holds a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University.
