Matthew F. McKnight

Matthew F. McKnight is the current General Manager of Biosecurity at Ginkgo Bioworks. Prior to their current position, McKnight held various other positions at different companies. These companies include: SmithRx, Searchlight Health, Decision Resources Group, IndUS Growth Partners, Palantir Technologies, and US Marine Corps.

McKnight's first position was as a Business Development Consultant at Palantir Technologies from February 2010 to March 2012. Matthew then became an Active Duty member of the US Marine Corps from May 2005 to June 2009. After their time in the military, McKnight became a Partner at IndUS Growth Partners from April 2011 to January 2018. Matthew also served as a Board Observer for Decision Resources Group from September 2012 to July 2019 and as a Member of the Board for Searchlight Health from May 2015 to August 2019. McKnight assumed their current role as General Manager of Biosecurity at Ginkgo Bioworks in 2019.

Matthew F. McKnight's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Matthew'story and Government with a minor, a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
