Peter Lee

Peter Lee is an accomplished leader in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as the Head of Bio Foundry Software Architecture at Ginkgo Bioworks since June 2021. With a strong track record in engineering team growth, software platform development, and automation of scientific processes, Peter has significantly enhanced operational efficiency, saving tens of thousands of hours for scientists annually. Previously, Peter held director positions at Strateos and Transcriptic, where responsibilities included advancing scientific software and leading customer-driven assay development. Peter's academic foundation includes a PhD in Chemical and Systems Biology from Stanford University, following a BA in Biochemistry and Biology from Rice University.
