Pichet Praveschotinunt

Pichet (Bom) Praveschotinunt is a seasoned biochemist with extensive experience in industrial biotechnology and academic research. Currently serving as Senior Scientist at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc., Pichet focuses on microbial fermentation process development and optimization, enhancing team proficiency in fermentation scaling. Prior to this role, Pichet conducted research at Harvard University, where a PhD in Bioengineering was obtained, working on genetic engineering of microorganisms for biofilm-derived proteins and mentoring undergraduate teams for the iGEM competition. Earlier experience includes roles at Duke University, where contributions to cancer research and teaching were made, and an internship at the National Nanotechnology Center, investigating gold nanoparticles for immunoassays.
