Nick Santaniello

Sr. Product Engineer at Giphy

Nick Santaniello began their work experience in 2005 as a Lead Editor, Cameraman, DVD Author, and Digital Video Instructor at DUSTY, a non-profit organization in West Oakland. Nick was responsible for designing, producing, editing, and DVD authoring material, as well as teaching digital video editing to students.

In 2006, Nick joined Google as a Rich Media Developer, where they developed cutting-edge Flash creatives for clients across the DoubleClick network. Nick also served as a Product Support Lead, working closely with software engineers and product managers to enhance Google's Blogger and Reader products.

In 2013, Nick became a Sr. Frontend Developer at Madwell, where they worked until 2016.

In 2017, Nick joined GIPHY as a Special Projects / Integrations Engineer. Nick later transitioned to the role of Sr. Product Engineer, working as part of the web team to launch and maintain new consumer-facing features. Notably, they developed GIPHY Arcade, a platform for playing and sharing web games powered by GIPHY Stickers.

Nick Santaniello attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film Studies. Following this, they pursued further education at New York University from 2010 to 2012, completing a Master of Professional Studies degree in the Tisch School of the Arts: ITP.
