Human Resources Director at Girl Scouts of North East Ohio

Lisa Maida, MBA, SHRM-SCP has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Lisa has worked for the Girl Scouts of North East Ohio since 2017, initially starting as a Human Resources Generalist and progressing to the role of Manager of Human Resources. Currently, they hold the position of Human Resources Director.

Prior to their work with the Girl Scouts, Lisa served as the Human Resources/Operations Manager for Home Appeal, LLC from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they were responsible for hiring and supervising crews, managing payroll and accounting operations, tax reporting, planning and marketing, as well as customer support.

Before that, Lisa worked as a Human Resources Representative at Summa Health from 2009 to 2014, where they provided full-cycle recruitment, training, and disability management services to several large divisions within the organization.

Additionally, Lisa has taught Medical Terminology as an Instructor in the Continuing Education Department at The University of Akron from 2009 to 2013.

Their earlier work experience includes serving as a Specialist in Recruitment and Placement at Akron General Medical Center in 2008, and as an Employment Specialist at Summa Health System from 2002 to 2008.

Lisa Maida, MBA, SHRM-SCP, obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Management from Walsh University, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Management/Human Resources from Walsh University, attending from 2006 to 2008. Additionally, they pursued studies in Business/Human Resources at The University of Akron. Alongside their education, Lisa has obtained various certifications including Sandler Bronze Certification from Sandler and a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Lisa is also a certified SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) as recognized by SHRM.
