Hailey Workman

Senior Director, Customer Applications at Girl Scouts of the USA

Hailey Workman has a diverse work experience in the non-profit sector, primarily with the Girl Scouts organization. Hailey started their career in 2008 as a Program Manager at the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois, where they were responsible for planning and organizing program events for girls aged 5-18. Hailey also supported volunteer event coordinators and committees by providing training and resources.

In 2011, Hailey joined EF Tours for Girl Scouts as a Relationship Manager. In this role, they owned the council marketing strategy, including email, print, and in-person communications. Hailey also maintained a sales pipeline consisting of Girl Scout councils across the country, managing staff contacts, marketing initiatives, and travel programs.

Hailey then moved on to the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa in 2013, where they held various positions. As the Senior Director of Product/Project Manager, they shaped the business strategies for two major programs, generating $7.2 million in annual revenue and serving nearly 8,000 girls. Hailey also provided project management support to other departments, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

During their time at the Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa, Hailey also served as the Product Program Director. In this role, they revamped the in-person training model into an online platform and introduced a tutorial video library for staff and volunteers. Hailey presented this model at the 2015 National Product Program conference and coached other councils on implementing similar resources. Hailey successfully implemented a price change during the Cookie Program, exceeding revenue projections by 2%.

Most recently, Hailey Workman joined the Girl Scouts of the USA in 2018 as the Volunteer Toolkit Manager, where they managed the digital operations and applications for customer engagement. Hailey then advanced to become the Director of Digital Operations, overseeing the organization's digital strategies. Currently, Hailey holds the position of Senior Director, Customer Applications, contributing to the enhancement and optimization of customer experiences.

Before their involvement with the Girl Scouts, Hailey had a brief role in fund development at Iowa Wesleyan College in 2008.

Hailey Workman holds a Master of Arts - MA degree in Organizational Leadership from Iowa Wesleyan University, which they obtained between 2018 and 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Elementary Education from Iowa Wesleyan University, completing it between 2004 and 2008. In terms of additional certifications, Hailey obtained the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (ACSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in December 2023. Hailey also holds the Certified Scrum Master and Certified Scrum Product Owner certifications from the Scrum Alliance, which they obtained in November 2016 and November 2017, respectively. Additionally, they have completed courses on "Get Ready for Generative AI" and "Leveraging Generative AI for Project Management" from LinkedIn, which were obtained in 2024.
