Melissa Kilby

Melissa Kilby serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Girl Up, a United Nations Foundation initiative, since September 2011, having ascended from the role of Deputy Director. In April 2022, Melissa joined Chief, a network dedicated to empowering women executives. Prior experience includes serving as National Event Production Director at OP3, overseeing high-profile events such as the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer series, and various roles in event production through Eventage. Melissa began their career as a Blood Donor Recruiter at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital and as a Marketing Assistant for the American Red Cross. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Journalism in Strategic Communications from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a course in Exponential Fundraising from Harvard Kennedy School.
