Nuna Johnson is a dedicated Program Coordinator at Girls Empowerment Network, specializing in empowering youth from 3rd to 12th grade through a self-efficacy curriculum. Nuna has experience as a Photographer, capturing narratives focused on kinship and vulnerability, and previously served as a STEAM AfterSchool Educator at IDEA Lab Kids and an Educator at Aldine ISD, where lessons were based on interactive and kinesthetic engagement. Additional roles include English Second Language Instructor at VIPKid, Online Exhibition Creator for a historical project, and Participating Playwright at the Modlin Center for the Arts. Nuna holds multiple degrees in African-American/Black Studies and African Studies from the University of Richmond and the University of Ghana, along with a background in Senegalese Culture and Language.
