Naomi Lilly has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Naomi worked as the Director of Marketing and Storytelling at Girls for Gender Equity, where they successfully transformed their social media engagement and managed a six-figure marketing budget. Prior to that, they were an Investor at Backstage Capital.
Naomi also founded and served as the CEO of NAL, an online networking platform dedicated to underrepresented creatives. Through NAL, they connected with partners to address representation issues and generated paid company partnerships with YouTube, Target, and Amazon Music.
Naomi also worked as a Seller Program Manager at Depop, collaborating with sellers to provide account management tactics and creating a sustainable sellers directory. At Forbes Tate Partners, they served as a Senior Analyst in Public Affairs, working on health policy and assisting Live Nation Entertainment with a campaign.
During their time at LinkedIn, they interned in their Inclusion and Recruiting (HR) department and later as an Incoming HR Intern. Naomi Lilly holds a dual degree in Master's and MBA from The Johns Hopkins University with a field of study in Communication and Media Studies. Naomi also completed their Bachelor's degree in African-American/Black Studies from Duke University. Furthermore, they pursued Communication and Media Studies at the University of Southern California and Art History, Criticism, and Conservation at New York University. Naomi received their high school education at Howard High School. Additionally, they obtained various certifications, including Hootsuite Certified in 2023, Fighting Gender Bias at Work, Unconscious Bias Training, Avoiding Burnout in 2019, and Building Self-Confidence in 2014, all from LinkedIn.
