Gail Burlant

Gail Burlant is currently an advisor at Girls Who Invest. Gail has over 20 years of experience in the legal and human resources field.

Burlant began their career at HSBC Securities in 1992 as an associate general counsel. In this role, they were responsible for employment, corporate, litigation, corporate finance and fixed income matters. Gail also served as interim Head of Human Resources for three years during a period of significant corporate reorganization.

In 2004, they joined HDG Mansur Capital Group as EVP and General Counsel. In this role, they were responsible for human resources, legal and compliance, and transaction management.

In 2012, Burlant joined Commonfund as Chief Human Resources Officer. Commonfund is a leading provider of customized Hedge Fund, Private Capital, Multi-Asset and Strategic Outsourced investment solutions for nonprofits (e.g., Academe, Foundations, Healthcare, etc.), and other strategic institutional investors.

Gail Burlant graduated with a Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and a BS/BA in Political Science/English from Boston College.
