Alvaro Muñoz

Alvaro Muñoz is a seasoned professional in the field of security research, currently serving as a Principal Security Researcher at GitHub since January 2020. Prior to this role, Muñoz held several positions at Micro Focus, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and HP, where responsibilities included Principal Security Researcher and various security-related consultancy and architectural roles. Muñoz began a career in IT security at HP in 2003, progressing through roles such as IT Security Technical Consultant and System Administrator. Alvaro Muñoz obtained an Engineering degree MS in Electronics and Telecommunication, with a focus on Telematics, from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where education was completed between 1998 and 2003.
