Shubha Rao

Shubha Rao is an accomplished product management executive currently serving as Vice President of Product Management at GitHub since July 2023, leading a team focused on innovative features and enterprise readiness. Prior to this role, Shubha spent six years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) in various senior product management positions, influencing the strategy and execution for Elastic Containers and serverless computing. Experience includes management of sub-teams innovating on AWS container services and driving product development for application networking initiatives. Earlier career highlights include roles at Illumio as Senior Product Manager for the Adaptive Security Platform and at VMware, where responsibilities ranged from product management to launching security solutions in the software-defined networking space. Shubha holds an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University with a concentration in Strategy, Marketing, and Finance, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from PES Institute of Technology.
