Sven Efftinge

Sven Efftinge is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software language engineering and tool development. Currently serving as Technical Fellow and Co-Chief Executive Officer at Gitpod since July 2020, Sven previously co-founded and led TypeFox as CEO from January 2016 to October 2020. Earlier career roles include project lead, software architect, and DSL designer at itemis AG from 2008 to 2015, as well as Head of Engineering at lohndirekt.de AG between June 2000 and January 2005. Sven holds a Diplom in computer science from Hochschule Flensburg, acquired between 2000 and 2004.
