Zach Malone has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. Zach began their career in 2005 as a Network Operator at Performance Technology Group. In 2006, they moved to University of Maryland Baltimore County as a UNIX Systems Administrator. In 2008, they joined General Dynamics Information Technology as a UNIX Systems Administrator, where they installed, configured, and supported AIX, Solaris, and Linux systems running DB2, Oracle, MySQL, custom Java and JBoss applications, BMC Control-M, and EMC Networker. In 2010, they joined OmniTI Computer Consulting, Inc. as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and assisted customers in designing and building CDNs, migrating between CDN nodes, and adopting third party CDNs. In 2015, they joined Click Sales, Inc. as a DevOps Engineer, transitioning the company from a legacy Puppet/FreeBSD environment into a SaltStack/Ubuntu environment. In 2016, they moved to CA Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer and Senior Engineer, SaaS Ops & Delivery, where they were responsible for planning, building, and running all infrastructure and CI/CD systems for Flowdock.com. In 2018, they joined Broadcom Inc. as a Senior Staff Engineer and migrated Rally/CA Agile Central's application stack from a mixed AWS/data center environment into GCP. In 2020, they became the Director of Operations at Circonus, where they staffed and led a team in documenting and automating an undocumented complicated production hybrid AWS/GCP environment. Currently, Zach is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at GiveCampus.
