Earlier in their career, Shelly worked at NBCUniversal Media, LLC, overseeing marketing and communication for international television networks. Shelly led distribution, go-to-market strategy, and managed multi-million dollar marketing budgets.

Shelly began their career at Viacom as the Public Affairs Director for KSTW-TV, where they led public relations, community outreach, cause marketing, and production of local programming.
