Ilka Buss

Ilka Buss is a seasoned consultant with extensive experience in energy, climate change, and development projects, currently working with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in various roles since September 2018, including contributions to multiple international energy programs in Malawi, Vietnam, Mozambique, and at the EnDev headquarters. In addition to engagements with AMBERO Consulting GmbH since January 2022 and as a senior consultant and owner of IB Consulting since 2010, Ilka Buss has held significant positions such as expert evaluator for the EU LIFE Programme and circular economy policy expert for the SWITCH to Green Facility. Contributions to the African Development Bank Group and previous experience as project manager at OneCarbon Germany, along with a strong educational background in environmental economics, climate finance, and renewable energy, underscore a commitment to addressing energy access and sustainability challenges.
