Hilde Merete Nafstad

Hilde Merete Nafstad serves as the Vice President of Finance and Control for Equinor's international upstream business since August 2016. Nafstad also holds non-executive board member positions at Gjensidigestiftelsen and Gjensidige, and previously served on the boards of SN Power AS and Statoil. Nafstad's extensive career includes leadership roles at Statoil, where responsibilities encompassed President of Statoil Asia Pacific LLC and Senior Vice President for Investor Relations, as well as pivotal positions at Norsk Hydro and SAGA Petroleum. Nafstad's early career featured significant contributions within the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, enhancing strategic frameworks and negotiations related to natural gas. Education includes a Master's in General Business with a focus on International Management from BI Norwegian Business School.
