Shannon Maroney-Garrett, MBA (She/Her), has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on organizational development and leadership. Shannon is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at Elite Sportswear, LP, where they oversee the human resources function for the world's leading sports specialty apparel brands. Prior to this role, Shannon served as the Head of Human Resources at Trevena, Inc. and Director of Human Resources at Incyte, a global biopharmaceutical company. Shannon also held leadership positions at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine and Neuronetics, Inc., where they were responsible for the overall human resources function. Earlier in their career, Shannon worked as the Director/Sr. HR Business Partner at Accellent Inc., overseeing human resources for multiple manufacturing facilities, and as an Entrepreneur/Sr. HR Consultant at HR Backbone, LLC, where they developed HR strategies for start-up and established companies. Shannon began their career as the Director/Head of Human Resources at InvestorForce, Inc., a start-up IT/Internet company. Shannon has a strong track record of successfully implementing HR initiatives and strategies to support business objectives and drive growth.

Shannon Maroney-Garrett, MBA (She/Her), holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Penn State Great Valley. Shannon also obtained a Classical Music Certificate with a focus on Classical Viola from the Boston University Tanglewood Institute for Classical Music. In addition, Shannon completed Yellow Belt Training at the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center as part of the Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification program. Shannon earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Maryland. Shannon attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Washington, DC. Furthermore, they are a graduate of the Diversity Leadership Academy at the American Institute for Managing Diversity, where they studied Diversity and Inclusion. Shannon is a Certified Facilitator from Insights Discovery. Shannon also participated in the DC Youth Orchestra Program.
