Onikah Asamoa-Caesar joined GKFF in 2017 and currently supports the foundation's equity work as Program Officer. She spent her early years working in child welfare in southern California with a focus on improving policies and practices within the foster care system. Onikah moved to Tulsa in 2013 as a Teach for America Corps member. After her service, she worked on various state-level criminal justice policy initiatives under the office of Senator Mike Johnston in Denver, Colorado. She holds a bachelor’s degree in history from California State University at Fullerton and a master’s degree in education from Johns Hopkins University.
