In 2021, Tony wrote a personal essay coming forward with his experience of living in secret with HIV for over eight years, in hopes of raising awareness and reducing the stigma. As a result of sharing his story so publicly, Tony was able to create a platform where people living their truth can connect and share their stories more openly, host’s +Life Media’s web series “Truth Be Told,” with new episodes every Thursday.

Outside of GLAAD, Tony is an avid traveler, professional photographer and is a member of the Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics (GALECA).
