GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD)
Through strategic litigation, public policy advocacy, and education, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) works in New England and nationally to create a just society free of discrimination based on gender identity and expression, HIV status, and sexual orientation. Since 1978, GLAD has been pursuing equal justice under law with enormous success. Our legal victories have changed the landscape of the law regarding sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression. But more importantly, they have made a difference in the day-to-day lives of countless individuals. GLAD operates GLAD Answers, a free and confidential legal information line to provide LGBTQ and HIV+ people throughout New England with information and resources to help them advocate for their rights.
