Hamdi Torun

Hamdi Torun has worked in many roles across various companies since 2002. Hamdi began their career as an Analog Design Engineer and Part-time Technical Staff at Aselsan. In 2003, they became a Research Assistant at Koc University. In 2005, they were a Visiting Research Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology. Hamdi also worked as a Consultant at Arcelik in 2010. From 2010 to 2017, they were an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor at Boğaziçi University. In 2017, they became the Co-Founder of GlakoLens and also held the roles of Associate Professor, Head of Education - Department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering, and VC Senior Fellow at Northumbria University.

Hamdi Torun received their B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University in 2003. Hamdi then went on to earn their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Koç University in 2005. In 2009, they completed their PhD in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
