Bob Findlay has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Bob started their career as an IT operator at Credit Lyonnais in 1982, where they operated IBM and Datapoint equipment and maintained computer equipment. Bob then worked as a computer programmer at British Gas in 1989, implementing and maintaining gas monitoring systems.
In 1991, they joined Audit Commission as an IT Auditor, conducting final accounts, systems, and computing auditing for local and health authorities. Bob also produced value for money studies and was responsible for computer audits and auditing European Union grants to local authorities.
From 1993 to 2000, Bob worked at British Airways, where they held various positions including Year 2000 Project Manager for North America, IT Audit Manager, and Project Manager. Bob managed the Year 2000 project ensuring compliance at over 50 locations and coordinated efforts with partner airlines. As IT Audit Manager, they scheduled, managed, and reported on audits covering various computing areas. From 2004 to 2006, Bob worked as an IT Audit Manager at The Co-operative Group, where they were responsible for planning, reviewing, and executing IT and project audits across the trading Group, covering various sectors.
In 2006, they joined ARYZTA as a Group IT Manager, implementing SAP security in various subsidiaries and managing information security and disaster recovery planning across the Group. Bob also handled IT audits, project audits, and Swiss ICS compliance.
From 2011 to 2012, Bob worked as the Manager of IT Audit at Paddy Power, where they were responsible for the company's IT audit function worldwide, overseeing internal and external resources.
Bob then joined EY in 2013 as a Senior Manager, where they managed consultancy and audit work for various clients.
Since 2015, Bob has been working as the Global Head of IT Audit at Glanbia, where they oversee the IT audit function.
