Thomas Fahnemann

Thomas Fahnemann is the current President and CEO of Glatfelter. Thomas has held this position since March of 2017. Prior to their current role, Fahnemann served as the Chief Executive Officer of AustroCel Hallein GmbH from October 2010 to March 2017.

Fahnemann began their career in 1994 as Senior Vice President of Hoechst AG. Thomas left this role in 1997 to become Chief Operating Officer of KOSA (Koch Industries). In 2003, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Lenzing Group. Thomas held this position until 2008 when they became the CEO of RHI AG. Thomas served in this role until 2010 when they took over as CEO of AustroCel Hallein GmbH.

In 2018, Fahnemann co-founded List Distillery. Thomas served as a co-owner of the company until 2022 when they became the President and CEO of Glatfelter.

Thomas Fahnemann has completed an Executive MBA Program from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and also has a Master of Business Administration - MBA from University of Applied Science Mainz.
