Anna Olanrewaju

Anna Olanrewaju (née Ampaw), PhD, currently serves as a Territory Sales Associate in Respiratory at GSK, focusing on COPD education and business plan development. Olanrewaju is an Advisory Board Member for Shaping African Women in STEM and the Founder and Executive Director of Empowering Female Minds in STEM, a non-profit aimed at reducing the gender gap in STEM fields for African women. Previous experience includes a Provost Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Toronto Mississauga, where research contributed to oncology drug discovery, and a Graduate Research Fellowship at the University of Ottawa, focusing on small molecule carbohydrates and their applications. Olanrewaju has also held teaching and tutoring roles in chemistry, alongside several co-op positions in research. Olanrewaju holds a PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from the University of Ottawa, an MSc in Organic Chemistry from Dalhousie University, and a BS in Biopharmaceutical Science with a specialization in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Ottawa.
