Rodrigo Bacigalupe

Rodrigo Bacigalupe, PhD, is an experienced computational biologist currently serving as Associate Director at GSK since June 2021, leading data analysis activities across various therapeutic projects. Previous roles include Senior Computational Biologist, where Rodrigo led therapeutic vaccine discovery projects, and Research Fellow at VIB, securing funding for population genomics research. Rodrigo's background includes postdoctoral work in bioinformatics, project management, and international collaboration. Rodrigo has also contributed to academia as a mentor and through teaching positions at KU Leuven and The University of Edinburgh. With an extensive educational foundation, including a PhD in Population Genetics from The University of Edinburgh, Rodrigo's research has significantly advanced the understanding of microbiomes and bacterial adaptation.
