Wim Smits

Wim Smits is an experienced professional in nature and biodiversity management, currently serving as the Nature and Biodiversity Lead at GSK. Previously, Wim held the position of Deputy Director of Land Management at Agentschap voor Natuur en Bos. Academic contributions include a role as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and as a doctoral researcher at Kyoto University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Wim also holds a foundational qualification in Nature Management obtained from Inverde in 2017.
