Laura de Filippis

Laura De Filippis, CHRL has extensive work experience in human resources. Laura is currently the Chief Human Resources Officer at Glen Dimplex Americas, a position they have held since June 2020. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Human Resources, People & Culture at the same company from October 2018 to June 2020.

Before joining Glen Dimplex Americas, Laura worked as the Director of Human Resources at ALMAG Aluminum from December 2016 to May 2018. Laura was responsible for leading the HR functions for multiple sites and transforming the HR department into a strategic and progressive integrated team.

Laura also has experience as a Human Resources Manager at companies such as Fiera Foods, Upper Crust, CMS Ontario Limited, Bakery Deluxe, Tri Star Bakers, and Marmora Freezing from January 2015 to December 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Human Resources Manager and Human Resources Generalist at Teknion from January 2003 to August 2014, where they provided strategic HR support and counsel to the organization.

Earlier in their career, Laura served as a Human Resources Coordinator at Royal Group Inc. from October 2000 to January 2003. Laura played a crucial role in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, improving employee relations, and ensuring compliance with legislation.

Laura started their career as a Customer Service Representative at RBC from April 1997 to September 2000.
