Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) is a co-ed independent JK to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate and Round Square day and boarding school located on two campuses in Victoria, BC, Canada. Our school provides an exceptional educational experience for students from age three to Grade 12 that focuses on providing robust academics, promoting healthy social and emotional development, and utilizing student-centred, inquiry-based learning. Position Overview

The Theatre Manager will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including GNS administration, teaching staff, and the Rental Manager, to ensure the smooth operation of Denford Hall during assemblies, productions, rentals, and other school-related events and activities. This role is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, security, and efficient operation of Denford Hall and all theatrical equipment, requiring a proactive, hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining a high-quality facility. What You’ll Bring

The successful candidate will be a motivated, self-directed individual with excellent interpersonal skills to establish strong connections with students, teachers and staff.  You will be familiar with many areas of technical theatre such as sound, lighting, live stream and AV, scenery construction and/or stagecraft.  Three to five years working in indoor theatre spaces is required and a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre or related field is preferred; however, a combination of education and experience may be considered.    Fall Arrest, MEWP and LEPC certifications are required.
