Emily Duong

Emily Duong currently serves as the Youth Community Engagement Assistant Librarian at Glenview Public Library since June 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a teacher at Open Space Early Learning Center, where age-appropriate activities were developed for toddlers and preschool-aged children, and as a Health and Safety Manager at South Loop Montessori School, focusing on minimizing contact during the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional positions held include Exploritorium Leader at Skokie Park District, Workplace Host at Lodgic Everyday, Floral Designer at XO Design Company, and Project Manager Coordinator intern at Monster Education Foundation, where responsibilities included managing summer programming and communication with Scholars. Emily completed a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2020 and continues education there, pursuing further studies.
